DJ T-Why?, is a well-known deejay based out of Washington, DC. DJ T-Why? currently performs at all types of events; namely, clubs, private and corporate events, etc.

The event includes a happy hour from 8pm to 9pm with drink specials:$3 Miller Lites, $5 Long Islands, Two for One Rail. This also includes a $5 food menu (Turkey Burger, Hot Wings, House Salad, Catfish Nuggets).
The show takes place weekly @ LIV Nightclub 2001 11th Street NW, Washington, DC. Admission is $10.00

Q. What time does it start and how much does it cost to get in the Up And Up Open Microphone?
A: Doors open at 8p. Admission is Ten American dollars. (Join The Up And Up Open Microphone facebook group and mailing list for specials)
Q: What do I have to do to get a feature?
A: There are mainly two ways to obtain a feature at The UAU. Way #1 achieve great success with multiple performances at The UAU as an Open Mic artist. Way #2 Create a reputable buzz locally for your performing art.
Q: Can I bring my CD?
A: No, we will not play artist CDs. It is an ALL live open mic and all artist are required to rock with the house band.
Show Rundown:
- "The Open Mic" list is circulated at the end of happy hour. Traditionally, the list is called out of order to maintain the show's balance. (There is a possibility that a performer may sign the list and be unable to perform).
-There will be NO tracks played from CDs. All performers MUST perform with the house band (Sound Of The City) and they each have 3 to 3.5 minutes to perform their set.
-"Know The Words" is a UAU original segment which encourages crowd participation. Our featured DJ will play hits from your childhood to the present as you are challenged to sing along.
-"The Monthly Feature" is selected by the UAU Open Microphone Committee to perform a 3 to 5 song set. All interested features send inquiries to theuauopenmic@gmail.com
-The Jam Session consists of artists that were unable to perform during the Open Mic due to time constraints but may have signed the open mic list or may have already performed. Each artist gets one verse (16 bars) to be performed with the house band. Artists who've performed earlier in show are welcome to participate in the Jam Session as well.
